As exclusive financial advisor to Capra Robotics, the Danish deep tech pioneer, KPH 31 is pleased to announce the completion of its EUR 11.3M seed round, led by Supernova Invest and Promus Ventures.

Capra Robotics, a leading innovator in mobile robotics solutions, has successfully completed its EUR 11.3M seed round. The round was led by Supernova Invest (FR) and Promus Ventures (US), with additional participation from Summiteer (DE) and EIFO, Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund (DK). This achievement marks a key milestone in Capra Robotics' mission to revolutionize the use of mobile robots, expanding the applications of autonomous systems across various industries.
Since its founding, Capra Robotics has been dedicated to creating mobile robots that assist in any environment. Offering adaptable solutions for inspection, logistics, and maintenance, the company addresses the increasing demand to automate dull, dirty, and dangerous tasks. As businesses face labor shortages, rising costs, and an aging population, adopting robotics has become essential to staying competitive and scaling operations. Capra Robotics stands out with its innovative kinematics and patented wheel frame, enabling seamless automation across industries, both indoors and outdoors. Since its 2023 product launch, Capra Robotics has solidified its position as a leader in robotics, particularly with its groundbreaking material handling solution bridging indoor and outdoor logistics.
Supernova Invest sees significant potential in Capra Robotics. Claude-Sébastien Lerbourg, Investment Director at Supernova Invest, says:
"At Supernova Invest, we are confident that CAPRA’s solution will accelerate the global adoption of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). Its ease of implementation and competitive edge position CAPRA to unlock a wide range of new applications, addressing critical labor shortages and delivering significant productivity gains across industries. Niels’ outstanding expertise and proven success in mobile robotics is invaluable, we are excited to support this new venture and contribute to its future success."
Mike Collett, Founder and Managing Partner at Promus Ventures, echoes this sentiment:
"We are excited to work with Niels and the entire Capra team to help redefine how autonomous mobile robots operate across numerous environments and platforms. Few AMR companies have the vast experience and proven success as Niels and the Capra team within the robotics industry. We believe this round will further fuel its strong growth and position the company to further scale globally."
Dominik Bär, Partner at Summiteer, emphasizes the potential of the company:
"Capra Robotics’ pioneering approach to mobile robotics, particularly in challenging environments, addresses a rapidly growing need for automation. We look forward to supporting Niels, Lars and their highly skilled team as they continue to scale their business and pursue their vision."
"With their unique AI-driven mobile robot solutions Capra Robotics automates logistical challenges in some of the largest international industrial companies. At the same time, they make it possible to inspect and monitor hard-to-reach critical energy infrastructure. These are two important agendas for EIFO – and since we are very impressed with the management team’s innovative abilities and plans for the future, we are excited to support their journey and continued impact worldwide," says Simon Frederik Loft Øelund, Tech Investor at EIFO.
Niels Jul Jacobsen, CEO of Capra Robotics, comments:
"Poul’s expertise has been instrumental in guiding us through this funding round, helping to structure a syndicate of investors from both the US and Europe with deep tech and industrial tech experience. This diverse backing strengthens our ability to scale rapidly, providing invaluable insights and networks that will enable us to expand into new markets and better serve our customers and partners worldwide."
Poul Kotiah Hansen, Founder and Managing Director at KPH 31, says:
"It’s been an honor working with Niels and the Capra Robotics team. Niels is one of the veterans of the Danish robotics world, with a proven track record of building great robotics companies, including Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) which revolutionized indoor mobile robotics. At Capra Robotics, they are now taking that revolution further by adding outdoor mobility to the mix. I’m excited to have supported them in taking these steps forward and to see where it leads."
Claude-Sébastien Lerbourg, Investment Director at Supernova Invest, further comments:
"Thanks to Poul, we gained early access to the Capra Robotics investment opportunity and were introduced to Niels. His skillful coordination of the discussions, balancing patience with decisive action, was key in building a strong syndicate and bringing all stakeholders together."
The seed investment will accelerate Capra Robotics' growth and global expansion. Building on its momentum, the company will establish strategic partnerships with distributors and system integrators, fostering deeper engagement with global key accounts, which already include Lockheed Martin, Robert Bosch, ZF Friedrichshafen, the US Air Force, and Deutsche Telekom. This investment will also enable faster entry into new markets and boost the company's workforce in sales, service, and support, particularly in Europe and North America. The recent establishment of Capra Robotics Inc., the US-based subsidiary, further strengthens its global presence as it prepares for large-scale deployment in North America.
